Senior Project Manager

As Senior Project Manager at Custom Environmental Services, Inc. (CES), Michael Cunningham brings more than 24 years of experience in hazardous material remediation and emergency response.  A former Vice President and Regional Manager for three regional offices of a national environmental services provider, Mr. Cunningham has supervised professional and multi-disciplinary personnel, managed sales and marketing programs, prepared and monitored budgets in excess of $10 million, overseen contracts and managed employee training.  In directing multi-tasked field teams, he has developed site specific work and safety plans, initiated site surveys and assessments, reviewed alternate technology applications, utilized material and cost control management systems, and prepared reports during project terms.

Mr. Cunningham has supervised hazardous materials teams on more than 500 projects, which include such remedial activities as soil excavation, structural decontamination and demolition, and site restoration.  Involved in the containment and remediation of more than 150 major oil and chemical spills, he has also participated in the clean up of PCBs, mixed petroleum materials, dioxins, heavy metals, asbestos and other toxic wastes.

In addition to having OSHA Manager Training, Mr. Cunningham is an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Certified Senior Response Manager and a Licensed Drug Lab Decon Supervisor.  His other areas of education and training include Hazardous Waste Management, Railroad On-Track Training, Radiological Protection and Handling, and Lead Compliance and Confined Space Certification.
