Mr. Marks has 30 years of experience in the environmental services industry. As President of Custom Environmental Services, Inc. he manages a staff of multi-disciplinary personnel that provide a diverse line of services to customers throughout Colorado, the Rocky Mountain region, and the nation. He demonstrates proven expertise in areas of client satisfaction, project management, team building, business management, expert witness testimony, and scheduling/resource management. As President of CES, he is directly involved with his Division Managers, Business Manager, Marketing Manager, and the corporate Safety Manager to ensure that services provided are performed responsively, efficiently, cost effectively, and safely. Since CES’ inception 14 years ago, Mr. Marks continues to provide the leadership that has resulted in an operationally and financially successful company.

Mr. Marks has extensive Project Management and Health & Safety experience in the industry having managed over 1,400 emergency response and remediation projects. Specific areas of expertise include hazardous material emergency response, facility decontamination and demolition, detonation of shock sensitive materials, underground storage tank (UST) removals, reimbursements, and project documentation. As a Certified Response Manager for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, he has successfully managed several large-scale emergency response projects throughout the country.

As Operations Manager and Project Manager for a previous employer, Mr. Marks was responsible for servicing nationwide customers by providing emergency response services for transportation incidents, providing environmental training for the public and private sectors, and managing business development.

Accomplishments: 
Successfully founded Custom Environmental Services, Inc. in 1998. CES currently has grown to include three offices in Arvada, CO, Colorado Springs, CO, and Grand Junction, CO and employs 70 full-time staff.
Performed successful detonation of numerous shock sensitive materials for the EPA without incident
Key member of a response team to successfully detonate shock sensitive materials for the USEPA on numerous sites across the country.
